Thank You!!!

100 Men Reading (June 5)

On behalf of the Board of Directors, thank you for your support of the 100 Men Reading Program. Without the help of our sponsors, volunteers and readers, none of this would be possible.

And we are growing! For the first time, volunteers and readers gathered in Sussex and Kent County also, making our event statewide.

Our next reading event will be held in November.  The Board challenges you to come again and invite a friend.

Our Visionary…

Visionary Imani Henry and Gov. Markell

100 Men Reading Day is an initiative envisioned by Ms. Imani Henry, a 10 year old from Newark, DE who saw the need to have men go into the schools and child care centers to read to students in order to promote literacy development and encourage students to read.  As a result of her vision, Imani was awarded a grant sponsored by Macy’s and Reading is Fundamental (RIF) 45th Annual Reading Celebration Campaign.  Governor Markell recognized her hard work and commitment to serve her community through her efforts to promote literacy, giving her an official Literacy Month Proclamation.  Read more at About.
